Thursday's launch of Apple's education books initiative quickly brought howls of outrage from a diverse group of people, including people in publishing and those who produce ebooks for publishers. The non-standard code base for the new "enhanced" books generated the most commentary, while other hot topics included the fact the authoring tool only works on OS X and Apple's EULA has weird and stupid restrictions.
